Cosmetology
The CACHS cosmetology course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practical skills in the beauty industry, understanding we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator! It covers hair care, skincare, nail care, and salon safety, inviting students to learn in a welcoming, high energy, creative and engaging environment.
The topics that may be covered in these courses include:
- Hair Care:
- Shampooing, conditioning, cutting, styling, and basic coloring techniques.
- Nail Care:
- Manicures, pedicures, and nail art fundamentals.
- Hygiene & Safety:
- Personal grooming, Sanitation, sterilization, health and safety elements.
- Anatomy & physiology:
- Basic understanding of skin, hair, and nails.
- Hands-On Training:
- Students practice techniques on mannequins, peers, and invited guests (clientele) under instructor supervision.
- Career Preparation:
- Prepares students for cosmetology school. It may also provide pathways into esthetics, nail technology, or barbering.
