Athletics

Our Knights athletics program believes that in all things we need to strive for excellence, and to do all things to the glory of God. As we practice and compete, our CACHS Knights coaching staff is made up of community members and school staff that works hard to teach, challenge, and encourage every student-athlete. We want every CACHS student-athlete to grow as a person and teammate. We focus on working hard and developing God given abilities to become an integral part of the team. Each student-athlete is valuable, and every role is important in terms of achieving our goals of sportsmanship and competing at our highest level. As CACHS coaches, we believe that high school athletics is a wonderful tool to teach our students valuable life skills, such as commitment, determination, humility, and achievement.

At CACHS we strongly believe in the student-athlete concept; therefore, our athletes are CACHS students first. CACHS coaches require students to prioritize their athletic commitment after God, family and school. Student-athletes understand that playing for CACHS is a privilege, and should not be satisfied with less than their best effort in the classroom, on the practice court, or during game play.

Knights athletics offers many opportunities for student-athletes. Whether you enjoy running trails, spiking volleyballs, shooting hoops, chasing a birdie, kicking a ball or throwing implements, we have a spot for you. Our teams compete in cross-country, volleyball, basketball, handball, badminton, soccer, and track and field events throughout the school year. With the exception of soccer, each of these activities allows our student-athletes to compete for provincial championships held throughout the province.

Over our history, we have regularly had teams and individuals qualify for Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association (ASAA) provincial championships, and have earned a number of provincial sportsmanship and championship banners. We have also been blessed to host many Central Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association (CASAA) Zone championships and a few provincial championships. It has been a rich history of Knights athletics at CACHS, and God has blessed us with many opportunities to showcase our faith through competition in the public arena.
