Our Support Staff
Mrs Ann Oudman
I began my “CACHS” career in 1990/91 when I volunteered to do the office work in the small one room portable behind Lacombe Christian School. I was hired as the school’s secretary in November 1993 and have had the privilege of working here since. I love to see the students come into grade 10 and watch them grow as young Christian men and women before they step out into the world. I love my position here and especially enjoy the daily interaction with the students, parents and staff and pray that I reflect God’s love to all. When not at school I enjoy walking, reading, gardening, travelling, and spending time with my family, especially our six grandchildren.
Mrs Wendy Barnes
I began my career at CACHS in October 1993 taking over the duties of Business Administrator. I worked from home for many years and then with the big expansion in 2006, the Board felt it would be good if I was at the school. I have enjoyed my transition from working from home to being at the school. Over the years I have had many duties, the one I like the most is mentoring the Student Council Treasurer, where I get to show them how to write a cheque, how to do a bank deposit and some accounting procedures . Working at the school has truly blessed me!
Mrs Veronica Den Oudsten
I attended Lacombe Christian School many moons ago and have always valued Christian education where one can learn about God’s kingdom and be challenged in their faith journey. I graduated from the University of Calgary, worked in youth care, and raised my family. I started part time work here at CACHS in 2000 and have enjoyed the opportunity to encourage, challenge and try to guide the students that come to CACHS. My conversations involve finding out what each student wants to be, but centers on who they want to become as a child of God. I am also involved with extracurricular through boys basketball, girls soccer, and outdoors club.
Mrs Jackie DeGroot
I started as Janitor at CACHS in June of 2002. It was a job we could do as a family for many years, and now that our children are grown and out of the house, my husband Clayton has taken over helping me. We enjoy our work and find great satisfaction in keeping the school neat and tidy and clean every day.
